About Retro Shirts Store

Retro Shirts Store is an independent shop for people who care about the shirts as much as the scoreline. What we sell is second-hand: shirts from seasons between 1988 and 2025, bought in from a vintage dealer, examined and listed one at a time. Nothing here is manufactured for us, and nothing is a reproduction of an older design — these are the garments themselves, with the years still on them.

That shapes everything about how the shop works. Each listing is a single garment in a single size, so the size you see is a property of the object rather than a choice from a dropdown. When one goes, it is gone; we do not reorder, and the listing stays up with nothing to click rather than quietly disappearing. Several shirts from the same kit often sit side by side at different prices, because they are in different condition — two extra-larges from one season are two different shirts, not one shirt in two sizes.

We describe faults rather than grading them. Where a shirt has a lifted letter, a pull in the mesh or a collar that has lost its spring, that is written on the listing, because a single letter grade hides exactly the detail worth knowing before spending money. Where a listing records no faults, that is a fact about that garment and not a score we awarded it.

We are an unofficial retailer. Retro Shirts Store is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any football club, league, federation, or kit manufacturer. Club names and crests identify whose shirts these are and which season they come from — the shirts carry the crests they were made with — and none of that implies official status or a licence.
